By creating an account or using Theos, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Theos.
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Twelve Intelligence LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in the United States.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Theos. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use Theos. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.
Theos is a Scripture intelligence platform. Theo is an AI companion designed to help you engage with the Bible, explore faith questions, and reflect on what you're reading. Theo is built on large language model technology and responds based on patterns in its training data and the content you share with it.
Theo is not a pastor, counselor, therapist, or spiritual director. Theo's responses are not professional pastoral care, mental health treatment, or theological authority. They are AI-generated and may be incomplete, imprecise, or not applicable to your specific situation.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis line. If you need pastoral care, please seek out a pastor or spiritual director in your community.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at kat@hitheo.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.
You agree to use Theos only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms. You agree not to:
When you interact with Theo, your conversations are private by design. Messages you send and receive are stored securely for up to 7 days to allow you to continue conversations across sessions and devices, then automatically and permanently deleted. You can delete any conversation yourself at any time from within the app. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we will never sell them or use them to target you with advertising.
You retain ownership of anything you share with Theo. By using Theos, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your interactions solely as described in our Privacy Policy — to operate the service, deliver Theo's responses, and improve the platform.
Theo's responses are generated by artificial intelligence. While we work to ensure Theo is theologically grounded and Scripturally accurate, we cannot guarantee that every response will be complete, correct, or appropriate for your specific circumstances.
AI systems can and do make mistakes. Do not rely solely on Theo for important theological, spiritual, legal, medical, or financial decisions. Always seek qualified human counsel for matters of significant consequence.
The Theos platform, including its design, software, brand, and content (excluding Bible text and public domain materials), is owned by Twelve Intelligence LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without express written permission.
Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is freely available and used in accordance with its licensing terms.
Your privacy matters to us deeply — it's built into the architecture of how Theos works, not added as an afterthought. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully. It explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. By using Theos, you agree to our data practices as described there.
Theos is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content provided by Theo.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Twelve Intelligence LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Theos — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional distress — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Theos shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You may stop using Theos and delete your account at any time. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these terms, with or without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless doing so would be harmful or legally prohibited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English.
You agree to resolve disputes with us individually and not as part of a class action or class arbitration.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if we have it) and by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Theos after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
